Registered Vascular Sonographer - (Sonography - Sono)
SHIFT: M-F - 8 hours shifts - starting between 6:00am - 9am, based on need. There is on-call after 4:30p/5:30p Weekend - yes every other Saturday - 8 hours shift - days
Specializing in the imaging and tests of blood vessels, the vascular sonographer operates equipment that collects reflected echos and forms images for the purpose of being transmitted, videotaped, or photographed for interpretation and diagnosis by a physician.
Need both echo and vascular for performing a variety of Cardiac Diagnostic studies including; Arterial Doppler, Venous Doppler, Carotid Doppler, Echocardiograms, Trans esophageal Echo, ECG, Stress Testing (Regular and Nuclear/Pharmacological) and Holter/Event Monitor Application. Recognizes critical and abnormal results and demonstrates the ability to analyze the situation and make sound practical judgments such as, notification to the physician or supervision/appropriate resource person. Enters procedure information and results on worksheets, logbooks, requisitions and computer systems accurately and completely. Performing related clerical and service duties, such as typing, charting, filing, and pulling historical tests from patient medical records, etc.
