Registered Respiratory Therapist - Neonatal Intensive Care - (RRT - NICU)
SHIFT: 6:30p-700a; every other weekend required Work Schedule: Night shift flexible schedule which will include night shifts, weekend night shifts, holiday(s) 7p - 7a. Schedules are often three 12 HOUR NIGHT shifts in a row.
The role of the registered respiratory therapist (ERT) is to assist certified respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals in the care of patients needing improved respiratory function.
Must be RRT for Neonates only. Will work in the NICU. Must have Ohio license in hand. Level 1 Trauma hospital with 915 beds. There is no adult care experience required nor will there be an adult care assignment involved in this assignment. Attire: hunter green scrubs. Associate degree in respiratory care and a graduate of AMA /CoARC accredited program for Respiratory Care. Unit info: 64 bed level III NICU, unit has very little turn over and would potentially consider hiring traveler on permanently after they meet contract requirements. Must have a MINIMUM of 3 years LEVEL III NICU experience. MUST HAVE CURRENT COMPETENCY IN: NRP and BLS, Neonatal Live Intubation, Servo I Ventilator Management including NAVA, 3100 oscillator Management, Bunnell Jet Ventilator Management, Nitric Oxide Utilization, Bubble CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula delivery, RAM cannula interface use, Neonatal Drug Dosing, Surfactant instillation with MAC catheter, Experience in High Risk delivery with Infant resuscitation and stabilization under minimal supervision for infants from 23 weeks - term gestational age. Current ABG punctures and analysis, Standby during surgical procedures such as cannulation for ECMO.
